Panhandle Kingfish Slam The Panhandle Kingfish Slam will include the Bluewater Charity Classic June 5th, the Marquart's Marina Offshore Classic July 30-31st and the MBARA 14th Annual King Mackerel Tournament on August 28. Entered boats in each tournament can weigh in one (1) king mackerel per event per tournament rules. So a boat entering all 3 events would qualify 3 fish, and so on. The boat entry with the most cumulative weight of king mackerel at the end of the MBARA tournament will win the slam prize. The prize award may not be in conjunction with the MBARA awards due to time constraints. No additional entry fee is required and fishing all events is not mandatory, but obviously enhances your chances to win. The prize money is currently $5000.00 in cash and prizes, so fish all 3 tournaments and always weigh a fish. It may not win that tournament but it will go toward your total weight for the SLAM. Fish will be weighed per each tournament rules with weights recorded after each event and posted on the Bluewater Charity Classic web site as well as in both the Marquart's Marina and Bluewater Outriggers locations. Weights will be to the hundredths and in the event of a tie the prize will be split, no tie breakers.
