This year our charity is once again the Forgotten Coast Warrior Weekend. We will host 10 war injured veterans and their Spouses/Caregivers from the various branches of the Armed Services for a weekend of fishing and fun. Our invited Heroes will have a "Warrior Offshore Shootout", presented by VFW Post 10069 on Friday June 3rd leaving at Noon E.D.T. from the PSJ marina and concluding with their weigh in along with the beginning of the BWOCC Captain's party, so come out about an hour early around 5:00 P.M. and cheer on these Warrior Heroes as they arrive and weigh their catch.
Jerry Tabatt will guest emcee on Friday and the weigh-in for our Warrior heros will correspond with the start of the Charity Classic Captains Meeting about 5pm. We will have music/raffles and great door prizes for the entrants, along with delicious sausages from the Salt Lick Sausage Co. We hope to have a large community turnout for the exciting Warrior's Weigh-in. Remember last years 74 lb Wahoo!!!

On Saturday the Hero's Day activities presented by Centennial Bank will begin, for those not fishing, with live music, food booths, vendor booths, kid's games, and will conclude with the Charity Classic's weigh-in presented by Harts Marine and Outdoor from 2:00 pm until 6:30 pm E.D.T. There will be a boat show at the marina with Mexico Beach Marina's Edgewater/Yamaha and Harts Marine and Outdoor providing boats on Friday and Saturday. We expect to top 100 boat entries this year, showing how the level of committment our sportsmen have to the Warrior Weekend project. Scott Rossman will emcee the Saturday events and Capt Trey Landry will be our weighmaster. So bring the whole family for the weekend and enjoy the newest and most competitive fishing tournament on the panhandle, and support an event that gives back to those that have sacrificed the most.
Check out the pictures from last year's tournament and make sure you're in the pictures this year....June 3rd and 4th at the Port St. Joe Marina. Oh! And look for the new tournament t-shirts out now at Bluewater Outriggers, they look great!!!

We have joined the Marquardt's Offshore Classic and MBARA fishing tournaments to form the three tournament PANHANDLE KINGFISH SLAM. This new feature to tournament fishing in our area should further entice you to fish our tournament this year as we are the first leg of this slam.
The winning boat of the slam will capture the $5,000.00 cash prize. The winner will be determined and awarded the prize after the 3rd leg of the Slam which is the Mexico Beach Artificial Reef Association tournament in August.
