We have joined the Marquardt’s Offshore Classic and MBARA fishing tournaments to form the three tournament PANHANDLE KINGFISH SLAM. This new feature to tournament fishing in our area should further entice you to fish our tournament this year as we are the first leg of this slam. The winning boat of the slam will capture $5000.00+ in cash and prizes. The winner will be determined and awarded the prizes after the 3rd leg of the Slam which is the Mexico Beach Artificial Reef Association tournament in August. And for the first time we are offering a KID’S DIVISIION-16 years and younger. $500.00 in cash & prizes will be awarded for the largest fish caught from our tournament species.

This year our charity is the Forgotten Coast Warrior Weekend. We will host 5 soldiers with traumatic war injuries and their families for a weekend of fishing and fun. The soldiers will have a "Warrior Kingfish Shootout" on Friday June 4th leaving at Noon E.D.T. from the PSJ marina and concluding with their weigh in along with the beginning of the captains party, so come out about an hour early around 5:00 P.M. and cheer on these hero's as they weigh their catch.

On Saturday the activities will begin, for those not fishing, with live music, food booths, vendor booths, kid’s games, and a community fish fry and will conclude with the Classic's weigh-in from 2:00 pm until 6:30 pm E.D.T. So bring the whole family for the weekend and enjoy the newest and most competitive fishing tournament on the panhandle, and support an event that gives back to those that have sacrificed the most. Check out the pictures from last year’s tournament at www.bluewatercharityclassic.com and make sure you're in the pictures this year....June 4th and 5th PSJ marina. Oh! And look for the new tournament t-shirts out now at Bluewater Outriggers, they look great!!!
